The Party's Over is the third episode of the first season of I Am Not Okay with This. It aired on February 26th, 2020.
Synopsis[]
Memories of her dad send Syd to a dark place. At a party, Dina finds herself torn between Syd and Brad, and Stan asks Syd a question.
Plot[]
Sydney tells Dina about Stan, which makes Dina wonder about how distant she has grown from her. Sydney confronts and yells at Liam's bully which embarrasses Liam. At home, Liam requests that the two play a board game. Sydney goes down to the basement to get one. While down there, Syd is reminded of memories of her father's death which causes her to have a panic attack and accidentally kill Liam's pet, Banana. The two hold a funeral for Banana and Sydney thinks about how she wishes her father left a note after his suicide.
Dina invites Sydney to a party while Brad rests at home. The two have fun however Dina leaves Sydney when Brad suddenly shows up. While outside Sydney is asked to homecoming by Stan which she reluctantly agrees to however she reflects that she is not actually attracted to Stan.
Sydney goes upstairs to find Dina upset after an argument with Brad. Syd comforts Dina and realizes that the reason she doesn't like Stan is that she is attracted to Dina. Syd kisses Dina but Dina becomes uncomfortable and leaves. A distraught Sydney heads to the forest and screams, causing the trees to fall down around her.
