History

Background

Maggie is Sydney and Liam's mother. She is a single mom who (secretly) lost her husband due to Sydney using her superpowers to (literally) kill him of his depression and PTSD after he returns home from the war. She also has a job as a waitress at a local cafe. She is also often stressed out by her job and Sydney's angry and negative attitudes, though she gets along a lot better with Liam, possibly due to the fact that he's not as "troublesome" or "negative" as Sydney usually is.

Personality

Maggie has her ups and downs — she is very friendly with some and angry with others.

Relationships

Maggie has a rather rough and troubled (and from some perspectives, emotionally abusive) relationship towards her daughter, Sydney, in which they often get angry and have huge arguments, in which Maggie targets Syd. In the first episode, when Syd tells her that she "feels like no one [she] loves, loves [her] back," Maggie says that she, "shouldn't aim so high."

However, she has a much more loving and caring approach towards her young son, Liam, possibly due to the fact that he doesn't really cause too many problems, or due to the fact that he's more respectful than Sydney is towards her.
