Y'know what I'm not okay with? THE FACT THAT THIS SHOW GOT F'ING CANCELLED
So I get they canceled the show because of Covid… but why can’t they just start filming again now?
So are they coming out with another season or is that it? Like that was a total cliff hanger.
What do people think about how the show ended? i feel like the end where the head explodes is a little out of place. i love the show overall but a few things about the ending stemmed so unfinished if u could add a different ending what would it be?
I will never forgive netflix for cancelling this show. we need a second season.

IF anyone knows who voiced him that would be appreciated
I made an IANOWT discord server, i realised there wasn't one. It's just called I Am Not Okay With This. Join if you want. there's no members currently.
I was SO shocked when I figured out this was a modern remake of Carrie. I hope for a season 2
What do you guys think about the differences in the comic and the show character wise?
~Spoilers, obviously.~
So, this is 100% just my psycho-analytic brain working at half speed to concoct this theory, I have many theories, but I feel like this is the best.
The main problem is the aspect of police not understanding telekinetic abilities. I feel like if they made season 2, there would have been some sort of chaos, and we would get a Dr. Brenner (Stranger Things)-esque scientist coming to the town, maybe setting it under a sort of lock-down and researching the town's history with the paranormal activity.
Now, someone going into the town knowing what they're looking for would find it super easy, barely an inconvenience, to figure out who's doing all of the stuff:
To start with, we already know that the library explosion was being investigated, so anyone who digs deep enough with that will know that there were only a few people in the building, the principal, the janitor, Jenny, Brad, Dina, Stan and Syd. We can easily cross out the principal, and the janitor, since they were not shown anywhere near the Dance. And obviously Brad.
There is also the problem with the trees, again, that could have been anyone who was at the party since people were drunk and their alibis are questionable, but again, Stan, Syd, Dina, Jenny.
There’s the store where Syd had a meltdown, and there were only three people (shown) in the store, the attendant at the till, Stan and Syd.
The last public space damaged would be the bowling alley, which Stan would have surely made up a story for. But if the scientist/investigators did check this with him, he might have been awkward, setting himself up to get caught as the culprit since he is the only person (they know) was at all of the ‘crime’ scenes.
If they went to Syd’s house, they might find the crack in the wall, and again this could be blamed on Stan, since the two of them hang out enough and it’s not impossible that he was hanging out at her place.
Long story short, I don’t know if any of that made sense, but I feel like Stan could get accused of it all, even though he was unconscious during the actual head-blowing up, they might not know the extent of the powers.
This would also make up for Syd’s inevitable awkwardness if she was trying to cover for her super-powered friend, (the way Stan actually would have been).
Syd would have to be 100% more careful, which might be difficult if she's stressed with the added pressure and the fact that she has the ability to kill someone. The Shadow (that's what I'm calling them now) would probably try to show her more about it, but we don't know if it's a Professor X type, or a Magneto*.
If they're a Professor X, then they might go all Yoda** on her. Get her to train her powers and maybe teach her some codes of conduct. They might make her withdraw from her friends, which could give a feud scenario between Syd and The Shadow.
Or maybe they'll introduce Syd to a whole group of people like her, try to take her out of the town or something, which might also divide Syd and her friends, forcing her into some ultimatums.
The Magneto route could try to convince Syd that the world is out to get her, and she has to protect herself.
There could also be a storyline about Syd being a 'chosen one'. Because that happens sometimes in 'superhero' fiction.
I have many thoughts, and they're all quite difficult to organise. I would love to hear anyone else's theories.
(* : For those of you who don't know X-Men, Professor X started a school to help children with abilities like Syd's to help control and adapt to them. Whereas Magneto had the 'Brother Hood Of Evil Mutants' catchy name, right?)
